Hello, I am buying a 2005 BMW 330cic convertible with the ZHP package of course haha. I would like a hardtop and found this one on ebay. The seller has listed the years this hardtop will work on and the 2005 model year is not listed. I have included the link in this message and would greatly appreciate it if you could take a look and let me know if it would work with my year 2005 convertible.

I am sorry, the link changed because the seller reposted the item. I have edited my link in the post. It should work now.

You are looking for a "hard top" for your vert? Like what Jeeps have??

Well BMW makes a removable hardtop for the e46 verts and I would like to buy one for my 2005 vert as I described above.

It will fit but you don't just pop it on. You have to have the install kit which is the mounting sockets and wiring that go in the car. Not that difficult to install but you have to take the backseat out and the rear panels.
I had a hardtop for mine but ended up selling it. The only times I wanted to use it was on long trips, but you have to have the soft top down which doesn't leave much trunk space.

Ok, thanks wsmeyer. Yes, I would have to buy the mounting kit from the dealer for $120. I live in Michigan and will be taking the car out in the winter time so I figured it would be good to have a hardtop. Since you are an experienced hardtop owner, do you have any tips or anything you think would help me? And just to confirm the hardtop in the link will fit the 2005 model??
Thanks for your help

^^ That's really what you would want - one off an M3 so the trim would be black and match the ZHP.

On the ZHP cars, is there no chrome trim on them?

No chrome on the ZHP. All gloss black.

How can I find one with no chrome on it to match the ZHP package? Also, if I bought it with the chrome would it look silly?

I don't think it would look bad...but you can always make it black.

No sir there isnt.
01-03 verts are pre-facelift so they MAY have a different top then a 04-06 vert. Not 100% sure though.
