Does anyone know if our cars have their build sheets stashed somewhere in the car?
Just curious...my 1997 Tbird had it inside the trunk carpet, with all factory build data and codes (not option codes but actual build codes) with a bunch of other info...
wonder if BMW also had a similar practice...

I recall something under a seat or cushion or something...

I've found the leather upholstery order sheets attached to the underside of my rear seats; nothing else, though.

I don't think there is a complete build sheet. It would be common knowledge by now..imho.

Yeah I dont think there is. For example, I know VW/Audis/Porsches have a sheet with all color/option codes in the spare tire well

Seems some models have sheets underneath the rear seat with option codes.
FWIW, my 75 Vette had a build sheet in the dash. Ask me how I know. :)

I remember from my days of GM f-bodies having the build sheet/label under the center arm rest. I've been seen anything like that on a BMW.

If you want to know all the options your car came with, ask your dealer for an "asap", which is essentially a build sheet. Or Mike Kent at BMW Parts Store will run one for you (at least he was a few months ago).

I can run the VIN as well. I would just need the last 7 digits.
