Newbie from NC

Hello,

Noob to the site mainly looking for some info and some advice on purchasing a used ZHP.

I have one in mind that is local but I will be posting the link in another thread I found. Currently I am driving an 06 Honda Civic Si that is back to stock form :facepalm I wrenched on it alot and now I'm just looking at picking up a nice 4 door and I have always wanted a BMW so the ZHP fits the bill nicely.

Time to update the thread. I was back on the hunt again starting this past Dec. and finally found one that I liked and fit the budget. There were a few that got sold a day or two after I found them so when this one popped up close to me I went for it.

2003 Orient 6sp with the Alcantara interior. It is going to need some loving but not too much. One quick pic on a pitstop at Willy-Brice in Columbia SC on the way back to Charlotte, NC. Go Gamecocks!!!

Grew up about 30 minutes NE from where that photo was taken. Try to get up to charlotte every now and then too.

Thanks everyone! Scheduled an appt. with an indy shop to replace most of the fluids and give the car a look over. I had the tech drive it and he thinks the fcabs need replacing and mybe tranny mounts but everything else seemed good to go. Prob will just upgrade both if they come back and say it needs them.


Hoping to get out to the "dragon" in April-ish with some friends. Will be a different beast to tame in the ZHP compared to the last ride.

welcome! those Si's are super fun to drive and handle well...but, i just can't get into how they look. It makes me sad the "style" direction Honda went because i really am a honda fan boy.

Anyways, good luck on your hunt, and i'm sure you'll enjoy the car as much as the SI.

I loved my 8th gen (06-11) Si, bought mine with 3 miles on it. I dropped a bunch of money on it, went to a track event or two in it, went to the Dragon for 6 years straight, tons of roadtrips. Not a single issue with the car but after removed the mods it was a different car and the infamous 3rd gear pop-out and 2nd gear grinds came about at the end and were getting on my nerve. The 9th gen is so disappointing in the looks department and no real perf. gains. Honda service dept is bad. I somehow got blamed for scratching the car while it was in a Honda service bay and they managed to use (or charge me) for 3 qts of trans fluid when the manual states 2. Show them the manual and yet still insisnt on 3. Srsly?

Anyways, loving the ZHP for the 2 weeks I've had it, lol.
