Installation was straight forward. I can tell there was a nice subtle difference and an added bonus!! My car is no longer the ultimate parking machine.
The engine also responds quicker and got a 1mpg increase!

They go for $185 plus shipping at http://www.rogueengineering.com/rogue/PP/POWERPULLEY.html
It replaces both the Water Pump and Power Steering Pulley and comes with a new serpentine belt. However I re-used the one I had and kept the one in the kit as a spare.

I also tend to believe that they also let the Harmonic Balancer work better since it's not being loaded as much as it was before.

I'm always interested on how Pullies can improve the car. I want to do this to my engine sometime. Thank you.

I am interested in how the pulleys change, yet you can still use stock belt? Can the tensioners really take up/put out, that much slack?

Think about how you have to rotate the tensioner to take the belt off. The range of the tensioner is quite dramatic, and can accommodate the stock belt.

Ok....hang tight. I am thinking about it.

Hanging tight is right, if you use the stock belt. Accessory power pulley kits come with a longer belt because the pulleys are larger. An underdrive crankshaft pulley would be smaller than stock, but AFAIK none of the E46 non-M3 pulley kits replace the crankshaft pulley.

Correct.
These are literally a night and day difference in throttle response and steering feel. Best $175 I ever spent on the car.
