Also, let's see some pictures of your other cars.

Let me make a recommendation: create a new member thread. Show us those cars!

Good luck with the sale! Eli told us about this car.

Wow! Just 14k miles? What happened?

Also, can you provide some history on the car please in terms of ownership, maintenance performed etc?

Thanks!

Craig, if you can get the info I requested on Eurowerks, I'm pretty confident that we can find your friend's car a home with a caring enthusiast.

Good Eli, Craig is not the selling owner here?

Be sure to send the owner over here. Easier to ask questions, etc.

As I understand it, Craig is selling it for the owner. I'm sure Craig will clarify and will have a lot of detailed info on the car soon.

BTW: He's a very trusted guy with our local car club and group of BMW owners. No shenanigans here. He's helped a lot of my friends with their cars through parts and lending a hand.

No worries, Eli. If you vouch for him, that's good enough for me.

I was just trying to understand the relationship. Sounds like Craig is a good guy.

So, onward and upward.

Sorry I haven't had time to post more info. I'm helping a local guy sell the car. I've done this a few times before for local enthusiasts who don't want to take the time and hassle to sell their special cars. I can give more info about the cars specific history in a PM if someone is interested.

I'm getting the build sheet today and I will have pics to post.

Check the link for the bumper scratches pic. Not working for me and I'm sure that's an important pic to a prospective buyer.

HI, I PMed you with these queries but its probably best if I post them on this thread because everyone can read.

Thanks for posting the pics. (Btw Eli - I was able to view the pic that had the bumper scratches. nothing major.)

My queries:

- ownership history?
- why such a low mileage? was the car stored for a long time?
- how often was the oil and other fluids changed?
- any issues with the car?

Thanks!

OK, let's get this car sold.

$22,900

first owner had car for less than 1 year, sold with 9600 miles on it. Current owner didn't drive much, lived in big city where driving wasn't required.

Car is actually in awesome condition, I just wanted to highlight imperfections - full disclosure, no surprises.

I don't know about service history, I'll see if I can find out, but with 14,000 miles it should not have had much :)

Clean CarFax

No known issue other than a few minor blemishes.

Does this car still have the original tires on it?

Does this car still have the original tires on it?

That is a very interesting question. What tires came on them originally?

Marcus-SanDiego

Looks like it was the Michelin Pilot Sport tires in 2003, Craig.

In 2004, it would have been Michelin Pilot Sport tires, the ContiSportsContact, or the Bridgestone RE040. It's whatever tire was available at the factory when the car was being built. It was random.

Once you've identified the name, you can then look on the sidewall to see exactly when the tire was manufactured. See how to do that here: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=11

Get back to us when you get the answer. I'm curious.

Build date on this car is 4/2004

Car had annual "low mileage" oil changes at the dealer. I assume the "low mileage" refers to the fact that it was only about 1,000 miles between changes.

Yes. It means that the car didn't get 15,000 miles on it but it still needed an oil change based on time. I do that with my cars. Change once a year even if you don't get the necessary mileage to warrant a change.

Thanks for the feedback on the queries. I tell you, it is so frigging tempting for me but sidetracked for the last two weeks with some urgent things at work and home. Will try to let you know in a day or two. :)
