Wanting to buy (or even consider renting) a base/roof rack system. Renting is an option because I will only need it for about a week or so. And only if you're o.k. with it and you're local. :)

In in San Ramon, CA.

I am heading up to Mendocino and was looking forward to the drive, but we're going camping and we need the space of our 4-Runner. Hoping to be able to still drive up there in the BMW.

Thanks Dane for the heads up. I missed out on the ebay item and I'm leary of dealing with someone on CL where I can't meet them face to face. (Too many horror stories of CL issues).
