Do you already have the base roof rack and you're looking for the bike racks themselves or what?

BMW OEM, THULE, and Yakima sell racks that will fit your zhp. I bought most of my thule stuff from either craigslist or ebay.

Basically I don't have anything. So I need to buy a base roof rack and then the bike racks? I just want my car to be able to carry a couple of bikes without scratching it or damaging it.

I found mine on craigslist as well. OEM base rack, 2 OEM bike holders, 2 OEM ski holders for $175. Deal!
Only caveat - you gotta be around 6' tall to easily get the bikes up there.

Bought my Thule base and faring online from a sporting goods site and the gutters on CL. Thing is bomb proof, I race everywhere on the east coast and it has never left me down.

Found them on eBay and Amazon. Roof rack $215. Each bicycle holder $139 from Thule. Total to hold to biked on my ZHP's roof: $493. Does this sound right? Seems a bit pricey.

Yep, that's about right as Dane said. Not cheap but if you take care of it it will last a long time. I had a Thule with the rain gutters on my e30 from 1991 to 2003 and used it hard. I still have it and was able to rig it to fit my wife's Land Rover. Darn thing is still in service.
