K so as some may or may not know my front bumper looks like it ticked Mike Tyson off and then some. Now since BFE is rolling around the corner I don't really know what I can accomplish by then. That's why I want your guys opinion, should I sticker the bottom of the bumper like some guys do when their low ride scraped the front bumper? By the way I can't afford a respray unless its free. Or should I just roll the way it is? What would you guys do?

Ill upload a pic later when I get the chance.

Edit: Pics

Found this on my phone. There's what you see and a crack on the under side of the passenger side. When I get off of work ill take better pictures.

Is this a clear sticker that runs the length of the bottom of the bumper or are you guys talking about literally putting stickers on the bottom?

DirtyPillows

Well an actual sticker so it can cover the scars on my front bumper.

DW, I was wandering if I buy in bulk from you do I get discount because to cover the bottom half would take alot of zhp stickers especially since they are clear except for the words. And to get a good thorough cover will take quite a few.

Or should I look for other stickers? Maybe ones that have full color backgrounds.

I've never heard of using stickers on a bumper before. My front bumper has many chips and scrapes from the previous owner. Do stickers make it look half decent? My plan was to DIY and remove the bumper, sand it down, and then repaint it with as close of a match to the OEM paint that I can find.

spray the lower bottom with black spray paint, then splatter neon paint on it. And get friends to write their signitures on it with a silver sharpie. Then once you have money cover it all up with an Araque lip

I recommend not. OP....your plan sounds fine. Make it your own. A quick respray on lower half of bumper would be cheap and quick.

Btw this is called sticker bombing.

For those who want visual image

So I went looking on how they do it and making re think this whole matter. First of all I can't really have 1 or 2 types of stickers. Its advised I should get a sticker bomb book which have like 280 stickers and use that. A the PP ideas pretty nice to. Maybe while I meet you guys up there I get you to sign it. But once I get home ill research more on what im going to do.

Sticker bombing is a popular thing to do now. I went to a biiiiiiig Subaru meet a month or two ago and there were a few sticker-bombed Subies there. I think it's also popular in the JDM and VW crowds.

I personally like the sticker-bomb look, though I also think that to pull it off, you need to have other characterizing traits on the car to give the car more personality. Stickerbombing the front and not doing anything to the rest of the car would make it look like a man in a black tux with white sneakers on. It doesn't quite look right unless he's got the shorts and T-shirt to match... especially true on a BMW, which typically isn't sticker bombed.

i have some wear and clear coat gone on the splitters on the front of my bumper, i'm just going to save up and get a respray... sticker bombing a bmw just seems... wrong...

If you're going to sticker bomb, do the roundel and maybe the kidneys too. To tie it all together. Remember to use colors that are cohesive w/ your blue, like yellow, orange, red, pink, light blues. I'd stay away from neons and greens. It's going to seem wacky to most BMW enthusiasts, but if the colors match, the eye will look more fondly upon it and it will be hard for people to say that they don't like it other than it's sticker's on a BMW.

Good luck my friend, I'm interested to see the turn out.

Im a little concern on how im going to do it if i do it. My biggest problem is the scrapes are not all on the bottom lip of the bumper some come higher and i do not want to do the whole bumper. So if i were to do it it would not get all of the mess making it look sort of pointless. So this is making me hesitant on the decision. I was also thinking i could put the tape that the autox people use and then the stickers over that and when im done with it i can take off. I dont know if that will work but ill see. thinking about splitters looks like a nice choice but to expensive and once again it would not cover all the mess.
AHHHHHHHHH!!! what do i do.............. Im so indecisive............:help

My honest opinion for you, because you're on the fence, is to start saving. If you can handle how it looks for now and for BFE, then just save your pennies for doing everything back to OE. Showing up to BFE sticker bombed you're more than likely to get more negative feedback than you would w/ a scuffed up bumper.

Personally, I'm crazy. When my paint started peeling I covered my car in a mock up of a black roof and stripes using electrical tape. I knew it wasn't going to be permanent (just like your sticker bombing) but IMO it was preferable over peeling paint. Of course I was bashed over on other forums and I'm sure I would've heard some snickering had I showed up at an event. (Heck, I get snickers now with a 135tii inspired $10k paintjob) But I have a pretty hard shell, and feel that if I like it that's all that matters.

You seem a little nervous about stepping outside the box, but if it's because you're afraid of messing up you're current bumper, you shouldn't be nervous. From the looks of it, the bumper is torn under the passenger side which when it came time to repaint would cause a lot of trouble to repair (if the body shop could do it) and might need to be replaced anyways. Also, when the bumper gets repainted they'll sand/strip most of the current paint off, and that would include any sticker residue. Covering the majority of the scrapes/damage on the bumper w/ continuous stickers and then a few well placed stickers to cover the upper blemishes would be fine and there wouldn't be a need to do the whole bumper.

So it's just up to you! :)
