Hello everyone I am new to this forum, my name is Jelani.
I am thinking of buying a 2005 330i ZHP coupe stock, the car is fully loaded except for nav, it currently has 61k on the clock and the dealer wants $20,000, is this a good buy? I don't know much about the 330i only what i read in forums so any insights would be apreciated.
Years ago i owned a 03 m3 smg and also had a e92 335i for a year or so, I imagine I could go back to one of these but I have an interest in the ZHP. Will I be happy with the speed and handles of a 330 or should I just jump back into an M? I probabley would never own a 335i they are too num feeling.
Thank you all in advance,
J

Welcome.
That sounds awfully expensive for a ZHP with those miles.

Welcome. Lots of conversation about M vs. ZHP, and the consensus on this site (of course) tends to be ZHP due to it's all around greatness, vs. M for raw performance. Good luck as many of us have gone through that decision process.

Welcome to the family. The ZHP is a good balance of performance and every day useability. If you are looking for a straight performance car, go for the M. And as previously stated, $20k sounds high. Good luck with the purchase.

Jelani, where is the ZHP located?
Welcome to the site. The car is located in Portland Oregon at Grant culver cars, you could view the car at Grant Culver Cars: http://grantculvercars.com/view_vehicle.html?vehicle_id=MzE5

Cool. Jelani, I would work the price down to $18,500. It's overpriced for the west coast at nearly $21K.

Welcome to the site. I think it is overpriced. I have an 06 with less miles with nav and paid 20

Marcus,
I found another 2004 fully loaded four door, 79k on the clock with NAV all stock, there are service records, the car is silver/grey, black leather, wheels have some curb rash and new front tires are needed, the owner is asking $14k. What do you gents think?

That's a fair price for west coast. You are not overpaying. But if that is the list price try to knock it down a little.

sweet, I will talk to the owner tonight and have him take care of the curbed wheels. All four wheels have rashes and it costs $75 a wheel to repair.

So I pulled the trigger and bought the 04 ZHP, I will post some pics soon.
I took it for a spin around some twisty turns and I must say the car handles really well!...infact I owned an 03 M3 SMG and a e92 and the ZHP feels way better then both, it is quick and handles like a go kart...the M shoud be superior in turns but I feel the ZHP is a little better than both, the ZHP is quick but not fast like the M and e92.
Next week I will lower it a little and put on a good set of spacers to stance it out a bit.
I love the cars guys,
Cheers,
J

Congrats! Sounds like you got yourself something nice!
I actually spoke to the guy at Grant Culver before. He's on some serious stuff! That car has been on the market for close to two months!

Jelani, I am the same as you. I had an 02 SMG M3 and still to this day, feel that the ZHP sedan I have is a better car than the M3. The M3 has the power and widebody kit, but the ZHP has better cornering (in my opinion).

I thought I was on my own with M vs ZHP, the M is much faster and so is the 335I, but the ZHP just corners so much better and feels better to, I mean just sitting in the car feels good! I test drove G coups, Acura's, Lexus IS350, VW GTI/Jetta, Audi's and Mustangs besides the HP difference in some the e46 feels so much better, its a well built car, I think BMW kind of went away from building a quality car, I had a 07 e92 and it was put together cheaply if you know what I mean.
I could of bought one of the cars I mentioned above but none of them was as raw or as solid as the ZHP.http://thumbsup
