just wanted to say hello. new to this board and currently on the hunt for my first ZHP. stumbled across this forum on a link from E46 fanatics. i think it's pretty cool a forum exists solely for the ZHP. i think it's the ultimate bmw driving experience. hence why i need one!

Webster, welcome to the forum. Stick around. Read everything. Keep your eyes on the classifieds forum.

You'll find a ZHP soon enough.

Congrats on the purchase. Don't worry, it's perfectly normal to :drool at your own car. I find myself looking at it all the time.

so i figured i'd open up a little bit now that i'm no longer on vaca and now am ready to settle in with the zhp...

my name is wes, born and raised down here in tx (san antonio/houston). currently living in houston but after two vacations this summer to colorado and tahoe/nor cal am actively looking to move out west. texas is too damn hot and not nearly enough to do down here nature wise...anyways i digress. i'm here for now.

this is my first bmw that i've owned myself. my first car ever(!) was a 1991 735i sedan. loved that car so much but it had no AC and a laundry list of electrical issues. my dad sold it after a year of ownership and got me into a 91 acura legend coupe 5spd mt. first car i learned to drive stick on and it was a blast for the ~2 years i had it, until i spun it on a freeway in college and totaled it into a concrete wall :( i've had a couple other cars since then, most memorably the 02 acura 3.2tl that i just sold to buy the zhp. that acura was a great car and i still think that body still is beautiful.

at any rate i'm happy to be here and am looking forward to learning all i can about my new baby. i'm no gearhead or garage junky by any means but i'm hoping that owning this car will change that somewhat...but for the first few months please forgive me for asking stupid/obvious questions. i will try to utilize the search feature and consult previous threads as much as i can. the maintenance list thread with all the youtube vids will be super helpful...

first course of business will be getting the oil changed and having a good local indy shop make sure nothing else is needed immediately. assuming that goes well i'll probably look to do get the bmw perf intake, some oem gloss black kidneys to start out, with the plan to do the vanos rattle kit and CABs within the 1st year of ownership. oh and those orange reflectors really annoy me, anyone have an idea how much it would cost to have a body shop take care of those? any other suggestions are welcome!

cheers guys
