Anyone in Phoenix can attest to the craziness that was (actually "is") the start of our Monsoon season. The storm is one we typically get, this time of year, although this one was extremely severe. It is called a "Haboob". But I call it a seasonal automobile TERRORIST!!!! :rofl What it means though is that I have to wash the cars EVERY week.

Usually I go about 1.5 weeks between washes. With the color correction I did, I have about 7 layers of polish, sealant and waxes on the paint right now. And honestly that is really what saved me and made it easy to clean. But with the multiple washes I had to do, I am gonna have to strip the wax down next week and reapply one or two sealant passes with two or three waxes.

That's nuts! It looked like the ash fallout from a volcanic eruption. I know how you feel, though. I like on a well traveled gravel road. The dust is enough to make you crazy. My car looks clean for about 45 minutes after being washed then its right back to dusty.

Spencer, I didn't hit it with a hard spray. Just something a little harder than my hose could provide. The dirt was seriously caked on and wouldn't budge when I tried to use a hose.

Wow, omg. Nice work on the clean up. I seriously feel for you. The black on my car is the hardest color I've ever had to clean/detail.

I heard about that on the news and one of the first things I thought of was that I hope everyone's car is in their garage. Glad you're getting yours cleaned up though!

This dust storm came through Phoenix recently. Luckily I had my baby tucked away in the garage because cleaning her after would've been a chore.
