Sorry - I have the touring... the width measurement of my hatch wouldn't help you out. The only thing I could find readily is the width of the 3 series, not the trunk lid

Looks like you have the sedan. Maybe we'll get some sedan guys in here soon that can help you out.

Bump!

I did pull up realoem.com...

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/diagrams/g/k/171.png

03 Painted rear spoiler CODE - UNI/MET. 1 51710139322 $285.95
only in conjunction with
03 M spoiler rear, primed 1 51717894050 $140.95
only in conjunction with
-- Adhesive tape 0,8X22X1400 1 51710141495 $11.00

No dimensions for the rear spoiler (p/n 3)... but it looks like there are some dimensions for the adhesive tape. These dimensions are normally in millimeters (mm). And the comma is used in Eurpoe the same way we use decimals...

0.8mm x 22mm x 1400mm = .31 in x .866 in x 55.12 in

(thickness of tape) x (width of tape) x (length of tape)

I'm assuming this is close to the actual measurements of the spoiler... but I would wait for confirmation.

From Turnermotorsport:

Part number for the sedan: 51717894050
Dimensions of the lip spoiler: 10 X 54 X 6

http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-4056-e46-sedan-m-technic-rear-lip-spoiler.aspx

So, it's 54 inches in length.

I wonder if that isn't the size of the package? What would the 10 X 6 refer to? Mine on my coupe is 46" straight across and 46 1/2" measured with the arc of the spoiler. I can't imagine that the sedan one would be 8" wider. Better wait for someone with a sedan to measure theirs because the coupe and sedan do have different part numbers.

And I believe that the coupe is wider. So, yes, agree. Need a sedan owner to physically measure.

I'll measure mine later this evening, if someone else hasn't found out by then.

We actually need someone to measure on a sedan. Or, you can call Turnermotorsport or Tischer and see if they'll give you the numbers.

If I got it right sedan trunks are 46inches. So therefore the lips are slightly longer as to curve? Correct me If I'm wrong

The fitment. I forgot about the thread...
