Fella's, I figured I would start this page so not only will we have a place to keep track of your maintenance that is performed, but also maybe what your plans are. Additionally, this will serve as a good resource for new members to see what you are doing to our cars, and maybe what problems they can expect.

Dane, you think this would be a thread for the projects forum?

Ill hit this up later this evening if I have time. I have a spreadsheet on the computer at home with intervals, mileage, and repair. Not regular maintenance, but ill hit this one, add the mods, then hit your sticky thread too.

Dane, I would take up the entire page. This is the 50th month I have owned the ZHP and I have everything documented except for washes and detail. That includes over 200 tanks of gas including brand and beginning mileage ending mileage, trip mileage, tank cost, gallons, date and track notation.

Please scan in and post all records. Thank you.

Really cool thread!

I have a 4 inch binder with all my receipts in sheet protectors, chronologically. Along with every ZHP brochure and document, original window sticker, E46 operater's DVD and every magazine review article. I am kinda particulate with this stuff :)

I will fill out my maintenance/mods on here soon

I copied my maintenance spreadsheet below. It's had quite a bit of the routine stuff done (window regulators, radiator, control arm bushings, etc) within the last 25k miles. Although I get my work done at an indy shop it's still pretty expensive so I'm sure I'll be doing a lot of maintenance myself from here on out. Does anybody see anything that I'll probably have to do within the next 20k miles besides the usual oil changes / inspections?

Alright so I'm replacing my FCAB's for the first time. Im going with Powerflex from Bimmerworld. The car has 47,000 miles on it and my bushings are basically rotten and the one came apart with very little effort on my part. Amazing, so it would seem that if your car is 40k or over and you've never done these, hop to it!

Nice link to a good post. Dude sounds like he knows what he's talking about for sure.
I was thinking of doing the LCA's also, but I think I will wait a bit. Can't tell the wife yea I'm droppin another $500 bucks because the car I just bought is sitting up on jacks in the garage all busted up (at least that's what she is seeing ha) I'll see how the bushings are first. My ride felt fairly good except for the quick shake when applying the brakes at high speeds that's what prompted me to do the bushings.

Not sure if any of you guys have this, but I picked this up a few years ago and log all my maintenance/upgrade info:

http://www.e46fanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?p=9826692

I don't know if he even sells these anymore either. I tried to find it on his bimmertools site and didn't see the book there. Other than that, this is great thread to keep track of! Thumbs up!

------

As a side note, on the FCA's, my front end squeaks and groans like an old ship. I have greased up everything I can possibly grease up, the UUC FCAB's, swaybar bushings, etc. with very very liberal synthetic grease. But I still get creaks and groans when going over bumps. Very embarassing :(

2004 BMW 330I ZHP MAINTENANCE LEDGER

My maintenance page is below to give you an idea of what I have done since purchasing the car in August of 2010.

Ok.....everything in my preventative/corrective maintenance section below....would/could pose a problem for you and this car in the future....my car is a 2/2004 330i, manual, with zhp package.

HINTS
Look into/ask the question on whether or not the coolant system has been overhauled....the last time brakes were done.....what about CAB's and RTAB's.....check all window's (including the sunroof...ffs....for smooth operation)....check the sub frame for cracks......look for any type of oil residue on the block (take a flashlight with you)....Ask to see any/all maintenance records....ensure you operate the AC/Heat, and listen for abnormal sounds.....take the car up to a high rate of speed and note any irregular vibration.....check all lights.......drink a beer....ask him what kind of oil was used for the oil changes....drink another beer when you get the answer.....

Also....much info can be gained at http://www.bimmerfest.com/wiki/index...ook_out_for.3F

Purchased 2005 BMW 330i ZHP coupe a few weeks ago with 106,000 miles. Did a complete cooling package replacement - water pump, thermostat, radiator, overflow tank, radiator cap, hoses - plus the belts and pulleys replacement - plus new plugs - new brake fluid (brakes replaced by previous owner and like new) - new transmission fluid - new rear diff fluid and new wiper blade assemblies. Also added my BlitzSafe XM system. Had Radar Detector BEL and Garmin Nuvi 1490T GPS hardwired to switched power. Should be set for a while!

Guys.....anyone who was using this...now has their own maintenance thread (I think there was only 4 of us). It's just easier for you guys to find you post....rather than going through many pages to find your maintenance stats. All original data is here.

Take what I have posted in YOUR new threads and copy and paste it into post number 2. I will then delete mine...and you will have full control of the thread.

Cheers.

Additionally....there are some cab pics and info buried in here that I may move out.....into another thread.

I just bought an M3 and decided this time around I will document everything excessively here
