So i'm selling one of my cars and was just cruising on craigs list and ran across this:

93 BMW 325iS Coupe 2dr. w/M3 Rims - SHARP! - $2700

I talked to the guy for a while and he said since i'm a big BMW fan and such that he would take $2,000 for the cars. I think i'm going to look at it Sunday. Any thoughts on this?

idk haha i was thinking maybe get it and drive it in the winter...or...i may be moving back to my home town which is about and hour and a half from where i work and i would use it to drive back and forth and then drive my 2001 325i when i'm home so i don't put the miles on it

Just playing with you. Dhu eeeeeeeeeeeet, or put the money into other car. Good winter setup plus some other goodies...hehe.

I thought you could sell the cheby and get a winter setup and finish fixing up the e46.

Your decision....totally. Two cars is two registrations and two insurances, etc. I will support and help with whatever you decide. It would be sweet to have an e36 also. For $2k though? You better get some of these guys educated input before you buy....if you buy.

Ya i know what ya mean...I already pay for two cars on registration and insurance...and i called USAA and the insurance ont the E36 is $180 for six months.

I am gonna really look the car over and grill the guy on what issues he has had and what all he has done. He really needs to get rid of the car so I am going

to see if I can talk him down on the price some more. He said he would take $2,000 and that was without me making an offer, so I think I can talk him down

some more.

But as you said I have to have it looked over and get educated advice...

We have e36 specific forum at the BMWMafia website. You may get a ton of help there....not to say you wouldn't here as well.

Now that were done swapping spit....let me step aside...so you can get some real answers on the e36.

If it was me, I would pass on it. If it's going to be used as a winter car, there's a chance you might get stuck in snow, and personally haven't had much success in getting unstuck with an automatic. If you're confident that you won't get stuck, then it sounds like a decent buy, though I'm still not getting good vibes about this car. :dunno

It's one of those "I've got that feeling" things... it's got a number of issues that the guy seems to "downplay".
