View Full Version : My ZHP over the years (and wheels)
A few taken as I changed wheels from stock. Also, just to show that ZHPs can do snow with dedicated winters - I think it was the winter of 2003/2003. Oh heck, I snuck one in there taken on Hwy 80 westbound somewhere in Utah. ZHP as it should be (or nearly so - ho ho ho!)

Lou, nice BBS wheels. Thanks for the pics. And those last ones are Contours, right?
They are inexpensive 16" Ital type 5s that came with the Tire Rack winter package.

John, the first ones are BBS RGR. The second ones are BBS RK II.

I like the RGR's the best.

Nice pics! My ZHP has looked like yours in the last pic; with winters on it can definitely hold its own through a Midwest winter!

I had no idea 16's would clear the 330 breaks! And the Contour reps look decent, too!
BBS RK II are the bee's knees.

They're not supposed to. I know OEM Style 45's don't... :dunno

Yeah...I didn't think 16's would work either.

Nice, that stretch of I-80 looks familiar.

Indeed, I have been on the 80 -- heading toward San Francisco. Long drive.
Nice pics! What winter tires do you use?
I originally bought Blizzak LM50s and wore them out. I replaced them Conti ExtremeWinterContact mounted on the 17" RKs, thinking I'd get a bit better dry weather handling but it didn't work out that way.

I don't get to travel much. I took a trip last year to Salt Lake City for lunch at some spot featured on the Food Channel. Went via Denio and Ely, Nv and Cedar City, UT. Look it up on the map - it's a lot of quiet back roads, great roads for the Bimmer! I drove from SLC home in one day, about 850 miles. Car ran great, obviously.

I've driven all over that part of the country. Good stuff.

There are just a few 16" wheels that fit. The AT Italia's are a common winter wheel for the E36 M3 too (similar brakes).
I have a set of 17x8" BBS RK sitting around that I'm not sure I'll ever use again. I need to figure out if I want to let them go or not.

Thanks, appreciate the input! I'll be searching for a dedicated summer and winter set once I wear out the Hankook V4s I have on my Style 45's.
