But I do challenge your statement about the 6% in one day. Assuming life expectancy is 78 years of age for a male born today. That's 28470 days. 1 day is only about 0.0038 % of his life time. So I think tomorrow, he will be only about 0.0038% older.

Business owners require networks and social public media to remain relevant, especially in digital mediums. There is a reason I am on the computer every day, and it directly results in income and relevance in a competitive market.

Considering he has been with us for 15 days, he will be 6% older tomorrow than he was today.

Man, I have been on the computer all day and I too thought I was somewhat relevant! In my field of work, twitting and facebook are inconsequential. I see how your field would need it more. Don't matter, I got to see a beautiful picture of Zippy, that's what counts.

The way you are calculating the progression of time is hard to grasp because as we age, that percentage of change in one day becomes smaller and smaller. The first to second day transition is 100% At 15 days, its 6 % and eventually its very very small. Strange how we think, I approached the problem from a different angle, assuming the rate of change must be the same everyday when we talk about aging.

The selection process really started when I was looking for a photographer for my cars. During the past year in particular, Casey proved that he was more than able to handle whatever I threw at him.

He's shot my cars, he's done my baby shower, he did my wife's maternity pictures, and now he has done the baby's first pictures.

One of the great things about Casey is that the guy is tireless. Plus, he's a guy who just keeps practicing and practicing. You see the shot in the first post that he produced today. That's just an amazing shot to me. Captures the baby just perfectly. We're getting Casey at the top of his game. In a month, when it's time to do more pictures again, Casey will be even better than today. That's the kind of pro I'm looking for. He's always working on his craft.

But as to my selection process, there never really was one. After working with Casey last year, I knew that Casey was my guy for all important pictures going forward.

Casey knows how demanding I am. He stepped up to the plate today and hit a homer.

The story behind the nickname "Zippy" relates to something that has happened a few times to us. I make big purchases, big things happen shortly thereafter.

I bought the ZHP in August 2010. About three weeks later, we found out that my wife was pregnant with our little boy. My wife, as a result, calls him Zippy (think ZHP -- and making up a word that could be formed by saying ZHP phonetically).

Beyond that, being huge Major Leaague Baseball fans, nothing says,"Put me in coach", like the name Zippy Huffington.

My kids were at ~4, 8, and 11 months before we could sleep through the night!

He doesn't sleep all night, without waking up. Mom wakes him up for a diaper change around 3 AM. Baby also gets fed at that time. Otherwise, though, he's doing well.

Mark, He's making great progress! Usually it takes three months before the melatonin cycle is complete and he can regulate his sleep self-consciously. Seems like he'll have advanced behavioral skills later on :) Just make sure he doesn't learn the word 'NO' until he's married ;)

It's really cool watching him grow up. During the last week he has started to do a lot more playing while he's awake. Prior to that, if he was awake he was either getting his diaper changed or eating. Otherwise, he was sleeping.
