LA Photoshoot 5/7/11

I participated in a photoshoot in LA that I found out about on the e46f.c forum. I'll post the link here for some preview shots. My car isn't in the preview, but this is a taste of the day. Some great cars, models, photographers and met some really good guys. Got my car detailed before the shoot too, so all in all a WINNING day! :-)

I know some Ferrari owners who won't bring their cars out in the rain. Anal as can be.

Meanwhile, I do not take my cars through car washes. It may be a car, but I see no reason to subject my paint to the crap that can be found at a car wash.

It's just like anything you care about. You carry your camera gear in cases. They're just cameras. You don't leave them exposed, though, because you care about your gear. But, yeah, they're just cameras.

Me? I am not taking my Ferrari through the car wash.

I do agree that it's just a car, though.

You guys are cracking me up. This guy was very cool about his car... let people sit in it.... take pictures, etc. I'm not sure he knew it was going through a car wash. I didn't know mine went through when I sent it in for the cleaning... they are really meticulous about how they care for the cars at this place so I was surprised after the fact that it went through a wash machine first - first time for my car AFAIK.

They are letting a few more teaser pics out on the thread, with all the pics due out in a week or so... I'll update you when I get them and post a couple.

I'm particularly impressed that Casey has never let his cameras through a car wash - now that's someone who knows how to take care of his gear, singing lullaby's and all! John

Thanks. LOL. Totally with you. In each setting I asked for pictures of just my car without the models too. There were 3 shooting areas.

Was waiting for my kids at school with the trunk open and noticed the reflection, thought it was cool, so I snapped a pic with my (bad) camera phone. You could probably get an interesting pic if you set it up right.
