My insomnia struck around 2am so I decided to take the time and snap some photos while the town was asleep. Even got tailed by a curious cop after taking some shots. I know most of the cops here so I wish he would have just pulled me over and asked what I was up to instead of following me for a few blocks lol. Could have had a nice early morning chat. Oh well. I'm at my favorite diner grabbing breakfast so I'll post the shots up when I get home.

As far as I know great but I haven't driven her since I did the maintenance because I found the other oil leak. I'm just trying to keep the oil in the pan so it doesn't leak. I drive it every week maybe a couple hours but that'll increase once I fix this issue.

It has been extremely nice to just hop in the auto and drive to work or around town and not have to worry about things although it isn't as comfortable as the BMW which is funny to think about.

Ride comfort:
Merc > BMW

Seats:
BMW > merc

Stereo:
BMW > merc

Air con/heater:
BMW > merc (w211 had issues with bad evap design so I don't use it until I can clean it)

Just drive don't care factor:
Merc > BMW

Did you guys post in the "lowest temp in your car thread"?

Also, Alexandre, what's the deal... is that a permanent set up or a mobile photo radar? If mobile, what kind of setup? Just curious. CA requires front plates so interesting that they took a pic of the car rear. Guess that's more guaranteed to have a plate.

Permanent setup. Everyone knows it's there but they generally tolerate up to 100 km/h in that area and I was going 92. Probably needed to round up the end of year books...

There are no front plates in Quebec - so all photo radars are oriented to take pics of the rear.

I do 100 miles a day round trip on the toll road. So if conditions allow I set the cruse to 74. If there's any snow on the ground in weary of ice and keep it at 50 or less. You can go pretty much as fast as you want in a straight line in just snow, but you can't really see where's there's ice, so it's a pretty bad idea. Wednesday morning there were severe white out conditions and I though I was going to die. I was going about 15 at times when the speed limit was 70. Everything after that hasn't been a big deal :)

For the most part the zhp does really well. Snow tires are a must, and getting going (or stopping, more importantly) can be a challenge on slick ice. The only other problem really is bottoming out. And that's pretty rare on roads that are plowed every once in a while. Just have to take everything slowly and make very gradual changes in velocity or direction.

Unless of course you find a deserted parking lot... Those snow donuts aren't gonna do themselves!

Yeah cept I'm stuck on this one now so it'll bring down my ratio. Longest previous record of me owning the same car is 2 yrs 4 months - my first bmw 328xi e90. I'm sitting on 21 months with the ///M and no plans on trading anytime soon.

Finally drove it after a 3 week hibernation due to snow and sub arctic temperatures, then naturally had to wash it to get all of the salt chalk and powder kicked up along the way off.

Test drove an M235i 6MT today with my friend who is thinking about one...not going to lie it felt very similar to a certain legendary model...got back in my zhp afterwards and still felt it's tough to beat.

THIS is filthy. and, not sure if you can see it or not, but this is also my truck. :) there are five 8' long 1x4 pine trim boards, and six 8' long 1x4 MDF trim boards in spanning the passenger seat (protected with towel), backseat (folded down) and trunk. :)

unfortunately, due to chronic cold temps it's just not feasible to wash the car - it would just freeze right away. i hate seeing it like this, but that's life in the salt belt.

Congrats on the Pilot, I hope you got a killer deal on it, the 3rd gen Pilot will be revealed at the Chicago Auto Show next month. They've been advertising some killer deals on them around here. My future mother in law has a 1st gen 1st year with over 225k on it (she has been the only owner) and has been itching for a new one, I've been holding her off for a 1st year 3rd gen, Honda should have released it last year but delayed it a year for some reason. @$$h@+$!

Is that bad? LOL. I bought the car in 2010 and the PO put the M3 spoiler on, worst part is it's a real M3 Bumper/spoiler so it doesn't fair into the fenders at all....Really bugs the crap out of me. Uncle Sammy is helping me get Her to her original glory this year (ZHP Bumper,Clears and refurb entire headlight assembly). WOOT!!!

The bulbs say they're rated to 5500K but I believe they are more 5000K which is just a tad whiter than stock 4300K, with a noticeable lumen increase onto the ground. I can make a new thread if you guys want with my other photos and lighting geek information. lol

One of my buddies picked up his first motorcycle today. So myself and another friend made it a day trip to help him get it back to his house safely for his first ride. I ran as a blocker up front with the car as well as guide since I've been here forever and our other friend ran as a blocker in the back. Made it home without issue and snagged a photo of the ZHP with the bikes as my buddies warmed up.

Looks great! It makes me miss my old white 325xi. I had LED tails and MtechII front bumper as well, but obviously the ZHP's are way better. ;)
