Actually they are steel gray. I broke the tabs off of my Imola Red caps (I'm a genius, it's confirmed). I kinda like them grey but will most likely end up painting them gloss black (my reason for removing the imola caps and breaking their tabs).

Dark grey, silver and black caps seem to be a new trend with new BMW's. I think the black would blend in with the gloss black window trim and tinted windows.

The visual aspect is exactly why I am planning to pain mine black as well.

I think blending them in is the cheapest alternative to making them look better.

Love it! OB ftw, what % tint on yours? Looks great.
No tint on mine yet (left). VA law allows for 50% front and 35% side and rear (without a medical exception). Colin (right) decided to go 35% front and I think 25% rear (whatever the next level is). I will probably do the same if/when I make the decision to tint mine. I'm on the fence, but leaning that way. I'm sure the summer heat here will sway me!

LOL. I ended up clearing the windows (only) and gunning it through the powder. So much fun. I plowed my street with my front bumper, because I'm the lowest car in the neighborhood (on stock suspension even), and the city hadn't done it yet.

Sidenote: our DSC system is superb.

Really it prevents your from bogging down on hills and such. Also really good for trying to get out of your driveway. Nearly got the wagon stuck the other day but turned off DSC and jimmied my way out! We usually turn it off at the dealership to get cars out when they are iced in or when there is a ton of snow to get through. Otherwise if you are just driving normally it should be on, can really save your ass if you aren't trying to go sideways.

DSC always kills the power when I'm trying to turn onto a relatively busy road, forcing others behind me to have to brake because the car won't allow me to accelerate out of the near standstill it puts me in. Whenever it snows, it's DSC off as soon as I get in the car.

Sometimes you have more control when the tires are spinning.

Yeah, it's definitely a pita when there's more than 1in of snow. The car has too much torque so it just bogs down. Otherwise I leave it on.

Thanks . I have two ZHPs, a mystic blue and an Imola red. The silver one is my brother in law's. The black roof was a Christmas gift as well as a full tank of gas and a detail on the car. He was out of town so I took a pic before dropping it off at his mom's house.

Not in that weather, haha. Looks great though, you'll be fine. I used to have 5% all around on my Mach 1. Only trouble was backing up in the pitch dark.

Yea it sucks to get hit but oh well. Small enough damage and insurance said they will cover it as a hit and run since it was at the airport parking lot while I was away on business for a week.

When I worked in Mexico, I had two hours for lunch and went back home to eat every day. If I found a very good parking spot in the morning, then I would take the bus back home at lunch time. This would ensure my car stayed safe all day long. This parking spot reminded me of that. :biggrin

It's good! Thanks a ton. Now my headlights are foggy :-/ I took the right one apart today and cleaned/dried it and as you can see it's fogging again.

We were expecting some (light) snow, so I borrowed my bosses "beater" 318Ti. Short wheel base, rear wheel drive and manual transmission = heaven on slightly slick roads. Which lead to this in the work parking lot...

Did you hold down the DSC button to disable traction control entirely on the zhp? It usually switches the coloring on the "brake" light when completely disabled. Seems odd you couldn't have any fun with the zhp in the snow.
