So I went out tonight on a nice cool dry night....and took some self portraits....haha. Just using ambient light from my surroundings as I use surrounding areas to fool around on with my bike.
Taking a quick rest...

My HID bike lights @ 12 watts vs our car at 35 watts.

Monkeying around!

Then holding for the pose...clipped in and holding the bike up with my core as I hold everything else up with my arms...tiring retakes...LOL

LOL. It can easily fit in my camelbak and not worry about weight.
If Casey is in here, do you use any compacts at all or do you lug around an SLR exclusively? :)

Where did you get your light package?

I've had it for like 8 years...I can't remember anymore. HID is a dying trend for bike lighting as cheaper LED output has matched and surpassed expensive HID bulbs. I think when I bought my system brand new I spent $600 on it. Now you can get the same output in LED for about $200.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I mean the led options out there trump the hid lights now. I don't do enough night riding to even justify the led kit though. Was just curious what you had
Great pics btw!

I think he sleeps with the slr. I would be shocked if there was a point and shoot in his house.
Droid + Tapatalk = FTW!

I have a 4 cell phones with cameras in my house, each of my kids have point and shoots, I have one that doesnt get used because my camera phone does better and I have dSLRs. I don't really lug anything around. My camera with an 80-200 2.8 lense and a vertical grip with 3 batteries in it only weighs about 14 lbs. so its not that bad.

14lbs is all relative I guess. You must just work way more than me. I feel that a 5oz camera is ideal...LOL. Let alone 14lbs! I don't even like lugging around my 5.5lbs macbook pro!
