Process. Clean......clean....clean.....notecards...2 coats of paint...3 coats of clear.

Yup.....did that as a hint. All four are painted and cleared. I am happy for the $50 upgrade. Rims look brand new.

Lol......ok..here's the deal. I painted the driveway with that asphalt finish, and the black you see is all that remains. Def not oil.....

Haha, its all good, but I do love marking my spot with oil and power steering atf, just like a dog on a tree or pole. Your place is just like your car, very very nice;-).

Heck, I even used masking tape. The notecard thing wasn't obvious to me either.

They look frickin' mint though. I miss the hyper silver finish, but the standard silver definitely ain't bad, especially since it's fresh!
Repainting is the simplest way to make your wheels look nice and new. Did you clearcoat it? It doesn't look cleared in those pics.

Painted the lugs....only on the very top. The portion that doesn't contact the lug wrench.

It doesn't seem all that different from the pics, but I like those rims a lot more in that color. I'm sure in the sunlight they're much brighter than the comp is giving them credit for. Nice work!

I use notecards to do wheels too...its easy, because they stick down in the bead of the tire a bit! Looking good Dane :)

I'm interested in any details on the cleaning process....

No...the insides are black.....so I just left em. A small amount of silver haze got on the inside...but I kinda di the effect.

Cleaning process...was.....clean, clean, clean...with that Wurth cleaner prep. I lightly sanded down any imperfections...prior to the cleaner....
