The radio in my car sounds terrible and I don't see any antenna on these cars so what do I need?

Antennae is located in drivers side c pillar. Remove c pillar and light....then check all connections tight. Maybe even use a lil dab o dielectric grease as well.

Thanks Dane I'll try that out when I get home was wondering what the problem was ever since I ever got the car. But I only play CDs and the Ipod when friends are in the car, other than that I drive with the radio off.

lol, even with more than 20gbs of music on my iphone, i still listen to the radio. sometimes you just don't know what to listen to and the radio is there as your very very very repetitive dj.

EDIT: also, maybe you don't have decent radio stations near you? im in the bay and i can find anything i care to listen to. hip hop, rock, spanish, country and everything in between.

Nah we have quite a few good local stations. I just dont like the normal music.. I'm into a lot of hip-hop/rap and most stations don't play the stuff I like..

Get satellite radio (I use XM which is virtually identical to Sirius). Then you will never go out of coverage and loose your signal. Also has many, many channels of specific music which is awesome.

I do also listen to AM for news, but that is about it for radio. I should get an iPod aux input as well, but that will take some work!

The OEM aux input is $40 and takes 10 minutes to install. Streaming Pandora> AM/FM radio

Or this should do the trick:

i would look at USA spec which gives you ipod text, and control AND aux - best thing i ever did. So glad i didn't just go with just BMW aux. Only about $60 more and took about 10 min to install.
