Hello all,
I finally got around to snapping some quick cell phone pics of the ZHP and figured it would be the perfect time to introduce myself
I've been working my ass off since I was 12 years old and saved up every single penny to buy my first car. While my friends were out blowing their money on video games, eating out, and other useless things I put all my income in a savings account. It grew significantly and before I knew it, it was time to buy my first car.
I've been very interested in BMW's since I was young and grew a huge interest in E46's. Ever since learning about the ZHP, I've been intrigued by it. The looks, performance, and presence just oozed awesomeness.
After nonstop searching for months on end, I found the perfect car for me. It was a 2003 ZHP Sedan 6spd with 56k. The color combo (TiAg on grey leather) was not ideal (i was really hoping for AW, Imola, or Mystic Blue) but the price was too good to pass up. Back in september when I was looking for a ZHP, a 6spd with 56k would go for no less than 18k. The seller only wanted 11.5k!! I hopped on the deal so quick and before I knew it, I had just picked up my dream car for 6.5k less than what its worth.
She has 57,200 miles as of today and I've loved every mile of it.
So far my mod list includes: Matte black grills, LED interior kit, OEM Aux input, full set of 16" ASA wheels with Bridgestone Blizzak RE01's (included with sale), Nankang Sport NS2 tires (brand new, included with sale)
Future MODS/Plans: front/rear bumper respray, OEM BiXenons, DEPO clears all around, refinish the 135m's, M3 Tri-Stitch Wheel, full paint correction detail, H&R sport cup kit, drilled rotors with cool carbon pads
Anyway, heres some quick pics I snapped this weekend. I'll take some more this upcoming week.
Hope a didn't bore you too much!

Nice! As a little thing I'd take the .com off of the E46fanatics sticker, it looks cleaner.

Yes. Be careful. Our mafia doesn't have any pull with local judges.

welcome, sir! let your story be an example to the youth of today, who waste money and/or are born filthy rich, who never work for what they own and get everything gifted from their parents.
It feels great to own something you worked hard for, I know.
your car looks great! Nice to have you here.

I now exactly what you mean. I have an "acquaintance" whose parents just bought a 2011 C63 AMG AND a Yamaha FZR jet ski for his 17th birthday. God I hate him......

What I always wonder is, can they really enjoy it, knowing that they just got it "handed" to them...I guess they might be able to, because they don't know otherwise.
I am not saying that ALL young kids don't appreciate/deserve gifts, but I just don't see a lot of them appreciating value of things these days...It's just a different feeling when you buy it with your own money, I think.
Marcus-SanDiego

It's appreciated, I think. Though it may not be as meaningful to the person who has it handed to them vs. the person who works their ass off for it.

Excellent! Definitely give Tim at circle a call and tell him Marc (imola zhp) from Roundel sent you. Give him a visit before service, sit down with him, and your car will be in good hands.

I will! I'm a little concerned though due to the horror stories I've heard about dealership maintenance quality and especially cost. What has your experience been like with Tim at Circle (cost wise)?

It's still dealer prices, but he doesn't give you the runaround nor does he recommend dumb service. For example, we made up our own version of inspection ii. Yes it costs $ but it's work that needs to be done preventatively. I got a lot more for my $ than normal inspection ii.
If you want more details on that service, pm me.

Congratulations on working and earning your first car, but also making a good decision on what to buy with your hard earned money.
I worked and got enough money to buy my first car and got a '68 Camaro. Now while I learned a lot about car maintenance and small block chevys, I certainly could have gotten a more practical and safer car. Good call on the ZHP!
