Would anybody know what is the output for the HK in the ZHP? How many total speakers?

Comparing the output from my '24 X4 G02 HK to the ZHP. The sound output seems to be more solid in the ZHP no matter what I do to balance the X4 output. My son said that maybe my hearing is defective....Which I agree....:facepalm

Although 600W continues to be a typo on the US config BMW website (it should be 464W according to Harman site) for the G02.

Not sure this applies to your X4.

I applied these settings on my 2012 F30. I'm very happy with the results.

Ten speakers in the E46 and 14 speakers in the G02 according to Bavsound.

Then you would have to look at the frequency responses of the speakers to compare but I doubt the newer models would be skimping you in the low or high frequencies.

Does the G02 have subwoofers? Does the HK provide subwoofers in the E46 platform?

Sorry. more questions than answers.

I tried the Settings with the L7 on. Sounded better than with the L7 off. But personally, I am sort of old school here. The HK sound for the ZHP sounded more robust and more solid. Possibly due to speaker placements and smaller area to reverb? Dunno.

@Oli77

I really do not know of the HK specs for the G02 if subwoofers were provided. So like you, I am still have questions and would need to research some more since this is sort of new '24 G02 to me.

It might just be a technology differential resulting in clarity differences. I have found when comparing my 2022 Q3 with Sonos sound system which sounds quite clear, the HK in my ZHP has a lot more ?texture? or thickness to it, despite the bavsound upgrades. I think it may be a sign of the times from the quality of amps and wiring in 2000s.

Sonos uses sound modulation techniques that improve output performance. So yes, indeed, things associated with sound performance have changed a lot recently. We are far from powered subwoofers of the 2000s.
I still enjoy old stuff (vinyl, speakers without subwoofer, etc...) to relax and enjoys STEREO. But to party and dance in the kitchen? Sonos, all the way.

Has anyone done an ?ultimate ZHP HK? settings test?
