Intro

This is a four owner 2006 BMW 330ci. It is a rare one of ten convertibles produced with the ZHP Performance Package, Monaco Blue Metallic with dark blue convertible soft top, gray leather interior and six-speed manual transmission. It has the 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine with a Turner Motorsports Shark Injector tune and shows just 50k miles. This car spent time in California and South Carolina and was acquired by the seller on Bring A Trailer in June 2022. Approximately 4,700 miles were added under his current ownership. This ZHP convertible comes with service records, a clean Carfax with no reported incidents, a clear title and is in Florida.

Exterior

The exterior is Monaco Blue Metallic with a dark blue power operated convertible soft top. It has silver 18″ M Double Spoke staggard wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires 225/40 front and 255/35 rear. The ZHP Performance Package adds a stiffer sport suspension, revised control arms, larger anti-roll bars, revised bumper covers and side skirts. It has adaptive xenon headlights, fog lamps, rain-sensing windshield wipers, park distance control, and dual exhaust outlets in the rear. Seller states that the hood was refinished to repair stone chips in November 2022.

Interior

The interior is upholstered in Gray Montana Leather. It has automatic climate control, cruise control, optional wind deflector, silver cube aluminum trim, Alcantara clad M badged steering wheel, Coco floor mats, and heated front sport seats with driver-side position memory settings. It has a Harman Kardon sound system with a BMW Business CD player upgraded with mobile phone and satellite radio connectivity. The seller states that approximately 2 inches of water entered the floorboards in September of 2022 during Hurricane Ian while the car was parked in their Florida garage. The seats were removed, and the carpets were chemically treated, sanitized, shampooed and completely detailed inside and out. Service included repairing the seat control harness, recharging the air-conditioning refrigerant, replacing the body control module, seat control module, and seat motors. The cabin air filter was replaced in April 2024, and the airbag control module was reprogrammed as part of regular service.

Imperfections

The driver-side power front seat switches require two presses to move the seat, while the fore-aft movement of the passenger-side front seat is reversed.

Mechanicals

This ZHP convertible has the 3.0-liter M54 inline-six mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The seller states previous ownership replaced the water pump, thermostat, radiator hoses, and spark plugs. The valve cover gasket was changed in March 2023, while the air filter, serpentine belt tensioner, and idler pulley were replaced in April 2024. Maintenance since June 2024 included replacing the alternator, coolant expansion tank, coolant level sensor, and coolant tank cap. The seller had a pre purchase inspection done by a BMW specialist in July 2024. The rear bump stops were worn and replaced, all brake pads and rotors replaced, both front sway bar links replaced, expansion coolant tank and cap replaced for a total of $2520.46.

Summary

The Carfax identifies five previous owners. There were three previous owners. The first owner transferred title of the car from private to a corporation and then to a trust in the same family. The second owner from California knew the family and sold it to the third owner that was based in South Carolina. The mileage discrepancies in 2008 and 2015 are due to clerical typos when the title was updated.4042040421

It is really a great car and in amazing shape. I drove it over 4000 miles since I received about 2 inches of water in the floorboards which was removed the next day. Only thing affected was the control board wire harness and seat motors so I replaced all of that as well as had the carpet completely chemically cleaned and car was completely detailed. The carpet sat in the open sun for several days to dry out before the seats were put in. I own several nice cars and I wanted to make sure everythng was looked at before I sell it. I took it to Level 30 in Fort Myers which is a high performance BMW shop to do the PPI. I authorized what they recommended to do and I feel confident that the new owner will be thrilled with this car. I discounted the car but I feel that if you saw this car and drove it, you would be getting a great deal and a great car. In fact, the reason that I am selling it is becasue I have a 911S Cab that I want to bring to Florida from Chicago and I do not have room to store another car. If I did not have this car, I would keep the ZHP!
