After almost a decade of not owning a ZHP, an incredible specimen of "holy shit, please save me" German engineering has found its way to me.

I got this ZHP from my brother's coworker, who had to unload the car due to some very stressful life circumstances regarding her health. The car has been sitting on a driveway for about 2-3 years. They wanted the car to go to an enthusiast who would fix it and take care of it, and God knows I can't say to no to another bucket.

Oh, I also got a sweet deal on an E70 X5 diesel from Copart. Waiting to fix the DEF heater on it because the wheel locking bolts have no key and are quite stubborn... but anyway.

Here she is:

40288

40289

197k miles
Automatic
Clean title
Imola Red
Natural Brown
Moonroof (which I absolutely wanted, the E90 M3 is a slicktop and I wish it wasn't)
No heated seats

Car came with some spare parts and accessories, namely some new front rotors and some Hawk pads.

Issues that need fixing:

No AC
I can just fucking feel those window regulators waiting for the least convenient time possible
Car is very dirty and needs a seats-out cleaning and carpet wash
2nd gear shuddering, most reading suggests guibo + CSB
All fluids
+ tons of paint and body work that I want to learn to do with time

Mods I want to do:
Electric fan conversion
Manual swap
Hard Motorsport flares
+ future stuff

Updates may not be very regular. Just bought a house from a hoarder that needs a ton of work, getting engaged soon, I bought an additional car that needs fixing and maintenance, M3 always requires something, etc.

But I'll be around as I build this thing. :)

Thanks everyone! I couldn't even check this thread for the longest time with the constant database errors coming back from the website, but I finally made it.

Still not exactly sure what will come of this car. I may have to consider flipping it to cover many of the expenses that fell on my plate lately (dog got cancer, supplemental tax bill for the home I bought, too).

But ultimately, I hope that I can end up keeping it and restoring it. I've always wanted an Imola sedan.
