So I'll introduce the reason for my strange question with some cliffnotes to an even stranger story.
Most people have hit or almost hit a deer in their lifetime driving. Well, one night while I was driving on a backroad a deer hit me. It was one of the backroads you know to travel slowly on because of deer warnings. A set of woods was to my left side, and a relatively steep embankment to my right, about 3 feet. high. Suddenly BAM! Deer jumps off of the embankment and runs smack into my side window; it scared the living sheit out of my passenger. The deer was smiling at him! By the time I pulled over, the deer had rolled over and ran away, but he left a gouge in my shadowline pillar, and a string of hair in my rubber trim going all the way back to the C pillar.
I got all the hair out, but I haven't been able to fix the gouge (presumably from teeth) besides filling it in with a sharpie to make it less noticeable. it is about 2.5" wide by 2mm high and 1.5mm deep I would estimate.
Do you all have any ideas for touch up paint I might use, or how I might fill the scratch in to make it no longer noticeable? The new trim piece is shockingly expensive and I'd really rather DIY than go to a body shop. I have fixed rock chips with Dr. Colorchip, curb rash on wheels, etc. so I think I might be able to gitterdone'.
Thanks everyone!
