I am in the market for a dashcam. It does not have to be cheap but do not cost an arm and a leg either. Affordable.

Easy to use. Dependable. Presently have a V1 also mounted by the rearview mirror. Does the V1 has to be removed or they can work side by side?

Dashcam needs to be disconnected and dismounted so I can use and remount on other vehicles as necessary. Or at least dismounted from car when not in use. Power source disconnected.

Post Pics if available.

Thanks.

I installed one in my Ford Edge in 2019. This is my first dashcam and I also didn't want to spend big bucks. Sort of low end trial and error approach to the sport. I ended up with a DDPAI Mini3 from Amazon and I'm quite happy with it for the $87 price. Plus it's small and cylindrical design allowed me to mount it almost hidden behind the mirror so it's not blocking visibility while driving. It has pretty good reviews in general on Amazon, and a good YouTube review linked below.

The app isn't the greatest but manageable and I'd recommend the dashcam for the price. DDPAI sells much more expensive and featured models, but I just wanted to be able to capture what's in front of me if something unexpected should happen. And it does that just fine. Plus it just unplugs from the windshield mount if you want to take it with you. I'm sure the technology has most certainly improved since 2019, but still a good value today in my book

Here's what I install in my vehicles:

Viofo A129 (https://www.amazon.com/Viofo-Dashboard-Camera-Vision-G-Sensor/dp/B07CT6JPYW/ref=sr_1_16?crid=X6B7EPWJ8006&keywords=viofo&qid=1687499277&sprefix=viofo%2Caps%2C184&sr=8-16&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.18ed3cb5-28d5-4975-8bc7-93deae8f9840)

Have owned an older model that has lasted a few years. Had to throw it away after it was damaged in an accident. Make sure to pair it with a high endurance card. I've had numerous cards fail from summer heat until I purchased one of these:

I notice mostly I see are adhesive mounted. I would prefer suction cup mounts for mobile removal.

I have a Thinkware F770 and I am happy with results. It is 5 years old and always worked great. Back camera is good, night vision is good too.
I do not have any pictures of it mounted. I had to pull it out for the windshield replacement. I will take some pictures once I will install it back.

I would recommend check out Vortex Radar, if you haven't.

This guy is great and doing great reviews of the latest and existing tech.

I'm not sure if suction cups would be stable enough. I don't think any of the dashcams have OIS. I would just replace the adhesive with velcro adhesive. Some dashcams have mounts that they slide into like the blackvue, and you could just buy multiple mounts.
