Norman, welcome to the site.
I have the BMW Performance intake. Personal choice. It's pretty. If you're looking for power, it's not going to give you very much.

What about the rear muffler im getting it for $140 brand new last one in the country and its no longer available

At that price, I don't see how you don't grab it. I've heard that the ZHP muffler and the BMW Performance muffler sound similar. But for $140, I'd grab it on principle.

Worst case is you take it off and turn it for a profit

So...the performance exhaust zhp comes with stock, does not include the BMW performance muffler?

Right. The exhaust that comes with the ZHP is not a BMW Performance exhaust. They look different.

I can't see the pic of the performance muffler. BTW, anyone want to save me the lookup and knows what that muffler is supposed to bring to the table off the top of their head? Also, what is the normal price? Finally, Norman, you work at South Bay BMW? What do you do... I get my CPO work done there. John
EDIT: I can see the pic now. Are we talking just the end muffler, or the total exhaust?

John, I have updated the frequently asked questions section at ZHPMafia.com.
Question: Wait, I thought the BMW Performance exhaust and the BMW Performance Package exhaust were one and the same. They're not?
Answer: they are not. You can see pictures of them here (http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showthread.php?2452-Bmw-performance-exhaust&p=48352#post48352). What's more, they have different part numbers, too. The ZHP exhaust is part number 18-10-7-919-236 (18107919236) while the BMW Performance muffler is identified by BMW part number 18-10-0-429-614 (18100429614). Additionally, the BMW Performance exhaust only differs in the rear section. The BMW Performance exhaust reuses the factory mid section.

Thanks for the update Marcus. I guess I'm a little confused at the inter-mixing of the words muffler and exhaust. I'm taking "exhaust" to mean the pipes and the "muffler" to mean just that, at the end. Is there actually a performance "muffler" that uses (connects to) the ZHP exhaust? John

Sorry about that, JR. The BMW Performance exhaust (pipes) and muffler (the end) are different than the ZHP unit. So, the BMW Performance system does not connect to the ZHP pipes. At the mid section, though, they are all the same. So, you would use your ZHP mid section with the BMW Performance system.
I will clean up the FAQ entry to make it more clear.

OK, great. Thanks for clearing that up. So, given that, $140 is a steal, I need to find one! John

my buddy said his ZHP (i still am trying to get him on the site) has the upgraded ///M down-pipe. would have increase the sound of the exhaust and would you then need to upgrade the whole exhaust system?
