So just replacing the rear wheels and the stupid wheel key broke inside the screw...
Anyone had this problem before and what's the easiest way to solve it?
Shop said they can drill it out and find another one...
FYI the wheels are aftermarket BBS so not sure how much of a problem that is.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220902/73410d4d42eb44522cb61df1d1f3c253.jpg
AND where can I get a new key and lock for each wheel?
Or is it even necessary, I don't think I ever drive and park in an area where my wheel might be stolen so ... If it's quick and cheap it's fine but if this is complex and pricey.....

I lost a wheel key once, emailed the mfg, gave them the appropriate info, and they mailed me a new key. You might be able to get the same key and lock.

I got rid of my wheel locks a couple years ago. I was down to one key, and the idea of getting it lost made me nervous.

If it's a BMW lock you can get a new key at your local dealer. I don't know how many different "codes"/key types there are. If it's from another manufacturer contact them, if you know the brand. Otherwise, have your shop remove the bolt - probably need to have them remove all four of them & replace with a normal bolt. Hope they can do it without damaging your BBS wheels!

I am thinking I wont get another one after this... I cant imagine a place I could park 99.99% of the time where I would get my wheels stolen, unless its at the airport parking lot. Just not sure if its really worth the trouble unless you park on a desolate Harlem street every night.

The shop said they can drill it out but it has to be through the SIDE and it WILL touch/damage the wheel, although its only aesthetically, but they did not want to do it. The referred me to a specialist which I have to go to and see.
What do you guys think is a fair price for them to drill this out?
