That car should have gone for $11k tops with those miles. Not sure what the owner was thinking buying at $15.5k last year but I would have taken the money and ran if I could have sold a 167k for almost $14k.

Eh $11K is a little low. 167K isn't all that much. These motors are good for 300K+.
They are indeed almost 20 years old, so at 10K a year, it's really not that many miles.
If your intention is to drive it (and not sell it) the miles are a bit less meaningful unless they're well into the 200K range.

I will take a well maintained, straight car, with higher miles any day over a lower mileage car that is not as clean or as sorted.

He was probably trying to flip it and get more money for it than what he had paid for it last year. Why he put it on BaT again to sell . . .
