View Full Version : Painting my Oxford Green on Natural Brown ZHP

My ZHP was 100% original paint. No accident. Just had a giant gash in my quarter panel from a rock or something.

Would you have gotten it fixed or painted it? I know there is a big debate on original paint. I felt as though it needed it.

With how intense the sun is in the US, I usually see it as better if the car was repainted, assuming a high quality paint job.

I'm ok with new paint, as long as it's a quality job. My first BMW (1992 325i) was jet black. With daylight the paint looked fine. But at night (under a street lamp) you could easily notice the rear quarter panel was resprayed.

It's good you have a video to show the "before" condition and damage was only cosmetic.
