Hi All,

I am a new member, so apologies if I was unable to find an answer. I searched, I swear it.

It seems terraphantm (http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/member.php?667-terraphantm) is not longer active. I checked his profile here, bimmerfest, and e46 fanatics... No activity as of a few years.

He used to offer a service (http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showthread.php?14805-LCM-Software-Update-to-4-5-Enable-Triple-Flash-(and-more)!-70-core)

I DMed him but does not looks like I will get a response.

Do you know of anyone that does this service?

I am tempted to go the DIY route (http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showthread.php?14706-Interest-in-updating-LCMs-to-4-0-or-4-5), but don't want to ruin my LCM.

There is also a post on E46 that has a summary (https://www.e46fanatics.com/threads/diy-flash-your-lcm-with-newer-software.1250073/)

Thanks for anyone that can help or share more details.

Terra is pursuing a Doctor's career so he has been very busy the past few years. He's probably doing residency work which keeps him very busy these days. I am not surprised he's not active on forums or responding to any PMs...

What service are you looking for? If it's just setting VIN and mileage, as well as LCM options coding, I can do that for you.

Good stuff, az3579. I am on SW 3.6. So I need to go to SW 4.5 first, which means flashing, correct?
Unless we can get triple blink with 3.6.

Oh... I can't do that. I don't know who else can do it other than Terra. You're better off just buying a 4.0+ on eBay. You don't need 4.5, 4.0+ will do.

Done, just grabbed a SW 4.0 version. This is the guide (http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showthread.php?7663-How-to-code-a-used-LCM-with-PASoft-BMW-Scanner-doityourself) I saw for using PASoft to get the VIN and Mileage in. Is that what you had in mind?

Top man, Capo. 4.0 unit in, and PASoft got me the VIN and Mileage matched. It shows the wrong model and vehicle type vs. what is on the LCM. Not sure that is fixable, or worth fixing. Then used NCS Expert and Dummy and we're good to go. While at it, I put in an E90 mirror. This ZHP is coming along nicely.

I think you can do this from the LCM section of PA Soft, if not then the IKE section. I forget exactly which section without having it pulled up in front of me (too lazy to connect computer to car to check lol).

If you can't find it then let me know and I'll go connect it to see which menu it's in.

Quick search, I found this (https://www.e46fanatics.com/threads/bmw-2002-330ci-lcm-coding.1234730/)

I'll try this out.

Workout without a hitch. Might be worth updating the .zip file with that bit.

Maybe one more page with:
-copy FA coding
-IKE -> LCM
Done.

Yeah I probably should update it...
That doc was written before I know about copying the FA coding. Thanks for bringing it up.

I don't know if this is still relevant, but I was able to do the 3.6 --> 4.5 flash on a pair of used LCM's per Terra's writeup.

Once that is done, the linked PDF works to install into the vehicle and remove the tamperdot.

If there is a void, I could offer this as a service.
