Hi all. Thought I would test the waters. Canadian ZHP. Read the sticky to find out the difference between the US and Canadian models. Basically it’s only the gauge cluster. I will be glad to help import if there is interest. I believe all you have to do is change the gauge cluster and get a letter from BMW, but I'm not 100% sure. If there is a serious buyer, we can figure it out. People import cars from Canada to the US all the time.
Black on Black. Black cube trim. Sedan. Manual 6 speed. All original. Will post pictures shortly.
141,000 kilometers, 87,500 miles
Asking $18,000 CDN, $14,200 US (at time of post)
Full leather w sport seats. Power everything. Sunroof. Etc etc. Car was as loaded as you could order it. Never been smoked in to my knowledge. Front end was wrapped in 3m protection from new. Car fax is clean other than a minor claim in 2004, and one non damage report in 2005 - which I believe is the scratch mentioned.
I am the second and fourth owner. I bought it out of Vancouver in 2016 with 88,000 kms on it. I sold it to a friend of mine while I needed a truck to do renovations on my house, and bought it back when I was done. I recently got a company vehicle and I just don’t need it anymore. Would love to keep it as a toy, but I need the garage space. That being said, don’t lowball me, you will be ignored, I am in no panic. I do drive it when I can, so the KM’s will go up.
I am an enthusiast and do all my own maintenance. It gets a synthetic oil change w filter every 7500 kms along with draining the steering pump reservoir and refilling with fresh (much cheaper and easier than doing a complete flush every few years). I do a brake fluid, differential fluid (red line 75w90), and transmission fluid (royal purple syncromax) flush along with a fuel filter every other year (just done 3000 kms ago). The car is in amazing condition, only flaws are a couple minor rock dents, a scuff in the passenger seat, and a scratch that is only visible if you look in the right light. No rust, I keep it clean. Everything works exactly as it should, heat is hot, AC is cold, even the headlight washers work. No mods other than the stereo head unit, I wanted Bluetooth. There was no damage done with the install and the factory head unit will come with the car. Steering wheel controls work with the aftermarket head. If there was ever anything wrong, it was fixed correctly with BMW (or better) parts. While in my possession it has been stored in a heated garage, and I have underground heated parking at work. I am a 43 year old dad who is an experienced driver, it has never been bagged. I drive it how it was designed to be driven, but never abused, and it shows.
Other larger maintenance/repairs
2017 approx 90,000 kms – DME reflash by BMW dealer to fix 3rd gear surge (common problem)
2017 approx 95,000 kms - Cooling system re-fresh, G.A.S Gold DISA rebuild kit, ECS tuning replacement pulleys, magnetic plugs throughout.
2018 approx 100,000 kms - GM5 computer rebuild (common problem - search e46fanatics forums, you will find “the” guy that does it in the US, he did mine)
2020 approx 125,000kms – new idler arms
2021 approx 137,500kms – Valve cover gasket, Fuel pump, Spark Plugs along with above mentioned regular maintenance.
I’m sure there is more, but that is what I remember off the top of my head.
I only accept cash, or will go with you to a bank to get a bank draft. I am willing to trailer it a reasonable distance for the right price. If there is any other info you want, pictures, or videos please ask.
