WTB: Unicorn ZHP

Hello all. I love the passion exuded here and all the info shared. I am in the market for a unicorn ZHP.
Must haves

-sub-60 to 75k mile, accident free and rust free examples only
-sedan preferred over coupe.
-6 speed manual
-Colors: Imola red, alpine white or any shade of blue
-Decent maintenance history
-Condition would have to be very good to excellent


Have the perfect trifecta: 1. Willing to pay top dollar for the right car. 2. I have the funds. 3. Wife has given me permission.
If you have one that you are looking for a good long term home and if you are on the fence .. here is your chance to consider.
I can sign a waiver that it is not meant to be flipped. If my circumstances ever change I will also be willing to sign an agreement to sell the car back to you at the same price (with same or better car condition) or a lower one if market value somehow declines.
I am a serious buyer that can act on it immediately.

Yes, definitely rare for a non M3 3 series. A fair number of M3s and similar high performance vehicles are bought as weekend toys, but 330is, even ZHPs, were normally bought to be daily drivers.

Low miles on an older car isn't necessarily a good thing; it all depends on how the car has been driven and maintained. Here's a couple of pictures of an E46 with the valve cover off at 53k miles with "a full service history up to 47/48k miles". I think this one is exceptionally bad, but I have seen this sort of thing more than once over the years.

That being said, it’s an ‘05 Imola red sedan w/ 75k miles. Black cube trim. No accidents and original paint in outstanding condition w/ ceramic coating. Black alcantara/cloth interior and heated seats. Good service history. Fitted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Very few imperfections.

MarekD not into a vert as I already own a R52JCW But yes I saw that listing and there is also a mystic blue vert in Canada
GregD you have an amazing example and I have no doubts you will sell it at your asking price .. if it’s still up for sale I would love to entertain a dialogue. The pics you posted of that low mileage M54 is scary.

Yeah I would think that's more along the lines of $25K-30K easy in this market.
That is probably one of the nicer one's you will find, and the most desirable combo.

It truly is a good time to be a seller. Unfortunate for buyers though. It was already hard to get in one of these under 60K miles and now it is becoming even more so. Only person who would see this as the time to buy would be someone who’s shopping with a blank check book. The market is what it is and no point in price speculating. I am hoping there is a seller out there who bought these cars for a bargain, subsequently has enjoyed the car enough that they are willing to send it along to a good custodian who will enjoying the car as it should be and in return they get some of the good karma when they shop for their next car.

Yes I did. It's a two owner example w/ 49,000 mile on the odometer but drives like a brand new car. M54 engine is such a lovely, torquey motor that suits the E46 nicely, giving it a satisfying shove in any gear.
