Intermittent lights out

Just purchased an '03 M-Sport 330i and it displays a different light out often. When I drove it the first time, it said that the right front turn signal was out. That went away and now it says one of the rear lights is out. Is this a common issue with these cars? Any known fixes before digging into the electronics ect?

Edit: in the prepurchase inspection, it was noted that the front ride height arm was broken. This wouldn't have anything to do with lights going out would it?

I would check to see if it's the rear ground issue for the tail lights. Probably have to search for it on e46f. while you're at it, read through the lighting troubleshooting guide to see if you can narrow it down some more.
