Looking for ZHP for me and my 16 year old to tinker. It would be his daily driver. I’m budgeting $4k for repairs and brining it up to snuff some.

Seller's Description
FOR SALE - 2004 330i 6MT ZHP in SIlbergrau Metallic
Vehicle is listed at $8,000 firm, as is.

This is a clean title vehicle with 127,xxx miles located near Baltimore, Maryland.
Some of the pros include,
4 brand new tires (Michelins in the front, Achilles in the back)
Brand new clutch with less than 30 miles
Brand new spark plugs and coil pack
New starter, alternator, belts, drive belt tensioner, all pulleys.
New coolant system (excluding radiator)
Rear seats look and feel brand new
Recent coolant flush and oil change
Recent interior detail and exterior wash
and other miscellaneous preventative maintenance

The cons,
Sagging headliner
Loose fabric on driver B pillar and passenger A pillar
Dent on tip of hood
Missing ashtray bracket for rear seats
High beams out

The vehicle is completely stock apart from,
Smoked out tail lights
Carbon Fiber Diffuser
Aftermarket downpipes and magnaflow exhaust

Welcome, sir. This sounds like a good car at a good price. Any rust present ? Looking at the miles, some suspension work may be needed. You may need to move fast since the supply is low on these cars. GL on your decision.

Sounds pretty good...

I don't care for the mods too much...but to each his own. Glad there are only a few...

Who did the clutch? The seller or an experienced tech ? Not a deal breaker, but would prefer to see an experienced hand working on it.

What does he mean aftermarket downpipes? The downpipes are part of the exhaust manifold (unless I am mis-using the term) and the manifolds include the cats..Is this car running headers?

Likely catless ebay headers, but to each his own in that regard.

The red flag for me is 30mi on the clutch. Definitely drive it first because they may have botched a driveway clutch job.

I'd question this too, only because its one of those situations where: "does it make sense to dump money into fixing this issue or just selling it as is?" i.e. fixing the clutch vs. not fixing the clutch. did the clutch go out due to old age or did something else happen? just some questions you have to think about/ask
