2021 ZHPMafia shirt PREORDER thread

This is a preorder thread that I will update as people post, but I need to get an idea of how many people will be ordering shirts.

We are going to use 8380labs again as their shirts are pretty good quality and the guy is a ZHP owner/bmw/euro enthusiast himself.

From 8380labs:

I'm open to doing another design for sure. I just went back through the email chain from the last time to refresh my memory on how we did things, and wanted to outline how'd I'd like to do it, so everyone's on the same page.

My design rate is $85/hr and the design will bill around 5hrs. My standard policy is a 50% deposit to get started, with the remaining balance due once the design's done. I will provide a concept, and once the design's done the shirts can be listed for sale - all that is to say I prefer not to go down the crowd-sourced design road. I've done that in a message board context in the past and it's a logistical and creative mess - too many cooks in the kitchen.

If you'd like to arrange printing on your end, I can send print files and you can handle things however you'd like. I'm also happy to provide a printing quote, produce the shirts and have them shipped wherever you'd like. The individual order logistics will need to be handled on your end, but there would also be some profit at the end of the process for you.

Let me know if that works, and I'll do some brainstorming on concepts and circle back to you by week's end.

Please reply to this thread with your shirt size/how many you would like. My guess is the color options will be black/gray/maybe one other color but I will inquire. If there is a specific shirt color you’d be interested in as the third option please include that in your reply to this thread.

I inquired what it would take to do 3 color options but for now continue to give me your 3rd color selection. If it stays with two colors only we will do gray and a crowd favorite color by sheer votes via suggestion.

Guys: I know it seems a bit counter intuitive from the buyers end to commit to a purchase of a shirt without seeing the design. I don’t want to fork over the design fee and have it wasted if guys don’t want to buy it. If you bought the last round of shirts organized through 8380labs they turned out really nice and it seemed like everyone liked them.

If someone has a picture they want to throw up of the shirt for reference That would be great.

I trust that Ethan @ 8380labs will draw up something pretty slick, so sign up!

Like cakM3 states, I would like more info on the shirt. What type of material? Cotton or Polyester/Elastane sweat wicking? Long sleeves and/or short sleeves? What colors available? Shrinkage? Imported? Manufactured overseas? Where? Any specific brand?

Check 8380labs for info on their shirts.

They are preshrunk I believe. I wear mediums as I like a sportier tight fitting shirt. They still fit very well 3-4 years later.

bumping this up.

I have been having a busy few weeks with work and personal life (working a lot of off duty details, saving to build a house WOOHOO. and then having both our dogs needing surgery this month). I am going on vacation at the end of July, it would be nice to have the orders in by maybe end of the second week of July. I will still be working on this but I want to get a little bit more guys signed up for the preorder before committing to paying the design fees.

As stated before, follow the cafepress link in the first page if you want to see the previous design it depicts the 3 zhp models (sedan, coupe, vert) in red white and blue.

I have two shirts with the past design seen on cafepress, but would be interested in two more in different colors if an updated design is created. Probably size large depending on the manufacturer. Thanks for your efforts!

How is the design fee going to be funded? Is it just split among the buyers?

If we have enough people interested in/end up purchasing the shirts and the design fee can be a minimal additional fee then it will be absorbed into the cost of the shirts otherwise, myself and another member have agreed to eat the cost

I am going to have to step away from organizing this t-shirt project. One of our dogs (we don't have kids yet so our two shepherds are essentially our kids) had surgery almost two weeks ago to remove a mass and it turned out to be cancerous. He's been needing extra attention from the both of us with a follow up oncology appt. in a week and a half. On top of that I have a very busy off duty work schedule leading up to going on vacation at the end of the month for a week and a half.

I wont be able to facilitate getting this shirt project out to everyone for the second half of this summer. If someone else wants to take the reigns please feel free and I apologize for not being able to "close the deal". I will still stand by my offer to work with getting the design fees paid up, someone just send me a PM with what needs to be done.

Y'all want me to ask her if she's able to do it? This takes out the middleman and don't have to worry about someone packing and shipping them.

The bonus with this is if we use the ZHP Mafia Amazon link then the forum can get a kickback as well.

I’m very sorry to hear about your dog, my Shepherd is my best friend and not a lot of people understand the bond you can have with your dog. Thank you for getting the ball rolling on this.

I would definitely still be interested, I would still get 2 shirts.

A touring design would also be cool and I would buy 2 more of those if that was also a possibility.
