I am partially incompetent here and asking for help. The e46 ZSP needs new bulbs for the the outside lamps.

What am I buying? these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00480GYSA/ref=au_as_r?_encoding=UTF8&Make=BMW%7C31&Model=325i%7C173&Year=2005%7C2005&ie=UTF8&vehicleId=2&vehicleType=automotive

or these: https://www.amazon.com/Philips-CrystalVision-Upgraded-Bright-Headlight/dp/B00U1OL44G/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=low%2Bbeam%2Bheadlight%2Bbulb%2B325i%2Be4 6&qid=1612645342&s=automotive&sr=1-6&th=1

Thanks for your help. For some reason none of these tell me if they are the outside (low beam) or for the inside lights (high beams).

If you don't have Xenon you need the 12V 55W H7 bulb - BMW part # 63217160781. Same bulb is used for low & high beams.

I've never used an H11 in a BMW. Skip the "cool blue effect," please.

If you're interested in extra output check out this link to help you decide & then shop for the best deal. Good luck!

If getting Osram bulbs, double check to ensure authenticity once you receive them: https://www.osram.com/am/the-trust-program/index.jsp

Like the fake NGK spark plugs, counterfeit Osram bulbs were popping up.

The H11 is used on the e46 325i non-sport fog lights. It's used in a lot of BMW fog lights tbh, like the e90.

Thanks - I saw that there was an E46 application when the OP first started the thread. I've never had an E90, but haven't run into/had to replace them on the '00 328i, '02 325ix, '06 330ci, '13 328iX or '15 228i. They look like the H7 with a bulb connector on them. More parts to have in stock!

Why on earth would you spend 4x as much for a lightbulb when you could get a perfectly fine German bulb from amazon delivered in 2 days?

That pretty much sums it up don't you think?

Fair enough. It also only lasts half as long just FYI.

Report back if it's actually brighter.

He does have Xenons with the halogen DRLs disabled so these lights would rarely get used. They should last several years if not defective. I believe they would just be supplemental high beams for those dark back roads.

These would make sense for high-beams come to think of it. Now i’m curious.
