I didn’t realize they make anything cheap for BMW’s anymore lol! Any opinions on these two strut tower bars?

I had the Megan Racing one and I didn't like it very much. Try Wiechers, that's a good brand and their steel strut bars and pretty cheap.
I don't have any experience with strut bars but I'd personally go with something solid and not hinged. The garagistic bar looks pretty decent for a good price:

Thanks for the recommendations. I do like the simple, but solid design of the Garagistic. Looks like everyone is out of stock. Couldn’t keep up with all the Black Friday orders.
Get a used e46 m3 strut bar.

+1
But only if you can get the special nuts with it...they're $11 a piece otherwise.

I LIKE that Garagistic strut bar, and the price is right. I have ECS/Turner carbon-fiber on my cars, and they’re good, but the aluminum mounts have a tendency toward galvanic reaction and unsightly corrosion if exposed to the elements.
Garagistic said they were working on a new one for e46 non Ms. I contacted them since their current bar has been out of stock for a while.

I'm running the cheaper strut tower bar on my ZHP... I have the OEM M3 strut bar on mine...cost to me? ZERO dollars... that's cheap ;)
Not to threadjack but question about the M3 strut tower bar. I have that installed with the reinforcement plates and the dealer was concerned that there wasn't enough bit on the special nuts that came with the bar. Should I be concerned and take off the reinforcement plates?

Taking off the reinforcement plates is a very bad idea: http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showthread.php?17346-This-is-why-shock-tower-reinforcement-plates-are-a-must

I thought there was recent discussion somewhere that if you have the proper M3 strut bar nuts, it should have plenty of threading for both the strut bar and the reinforcement plates.
Perhaps the dealer didn't see that the nuts extend downwards? How many turns of thread engagement are there? If the stud is short, it could look deceiving while still being okay because of how the nut is designed.

I run both reinforcement plates and M3 strut bar on one of my setups. There is enough thread to hold the bar down with the plates. I wouldn't run the car without the plates.
