Hi all,

Please tell me there’s another option to buying the high gloss drip rail/ weather strips listed below without getting my pants pulled down... the parts are crazy expensive!

Left side drip rail trim, shadow line high gloss 51 71 7 030 845
Right side drip rail trim, shadow line high gloss 51 71 7 030 846
Left side weatherstrip, shadow line high gloss 51 36 7 891 911
right side weatherstrip, shadow line high gloss 51 36 7 891 912

The high gloss part of the trim is intact is it possible just to replace the rubber?

Thanks

Gareth

I’ve been looking for the trim and same it’s been nothing but a headache, and disappointment ordered from a few sites just to get a refund saying they can’t cover the shipping because it’s too expensive.

I ordered the non-gloss black drip rail trim for a sedan a number of years ago - it came in a box to keep it in shape.

Has anyone considered having a body shop paint the trim back to Gloss Black? I'll be exploring that option soon.

I bought this stuff, looks factory but I am not able (no skill) to wrap the curved parts on my coupe so I painted them. If you want this roll its yours. A shop quoted me $150 for vinyl wrap BTW. Paint cost me like $20. If you prep well, it looks good.

Here is the link where I got the vinyl pictured below...... http://shadowlinetrim.com/index.html

This stuff works well, just clean everything well with alcohol and make sure you have a new blade for a pen razor to trim everything. I did have to put a break at the hard corner in the back, it has about an inch overlap but isn't noticeable unless you point it out.
