Inquiring if these following photos with numbers considered Part Numbers and translation? I noticed a lot of BMW parts have numbers. I tried RealOEM and input these numbers and they all came out zilch. Any help on what these numbers pertain to would be appreciated.

If they can't be found on real OEM or on a Google search, it's possible they're a part number internal to engineering (such as a CAD part number)

They are, indeed, in the BMW part # format. Numbers are routinely superceded. Driver's/left side parts usually end in odd #s, passenger's/right side are even #s.

Not much, but I found this in searching:

82160002511 Schmutzfaenger vorne rechts - mud flap left front
82160002512 Schmutzfaenger vorne rechts - mud flap right front

I found 82160002513 & 82160002514 mentioned in a post along with the mudflap here: https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ru&u=https://www.bmwfanatics.ru/forumvb/viewtopic.php%3Ft%3D317165&prev=search&pto=aue

Pretty sure those are just rubber floor mats but I could be wrong.

John & Pete....would it be safe to say that what I have sitting in my shed is a genuine set of BMW Mud Flaps for a E46?

Deff E46 ones, I have a full F/R set & A spare set of rears that I’ve just collected over the years. I’m sure I’ll put them on one day lol

Ok thanks. So...where did you guys research to certify those P/N are the real McCoy for documentation?

Also approximately how much do they cost nowadays for very slightly used (previous owner) mud flaps? Do they appreciate in cost if I was to keep them?

Already had them stored and wrapped now for maybe 10 years. With front & rear installation instructions pdf in German & English.

i agree that they didn't show up on Realoem... The details of my searches yielded almost no hits, and were sketchy at best. And I haven't seen them for sale either, but I question their desirability since I can't picture them on my vert. But 10 years in storage.. I've got stuff like that :)

Put them in the classifieds here, or post them on eBay where the bidding will set their value?

Honestly, for how much leafy debris gets kicked up in my neck of the woods in the fall/winter, I might be interested in the rears if they're easy to take on and off.

Thanks. I need to think this over....

But one thing I know, if I was to install them on my Sedan then I will probably have to professionally paint them first. Then per instruction installations I have to drill holes to the fender linings? Ouch.

It seems that the mud flap you have possibly is unique to the ZHP/M cars. For example on FCP https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-set-mud-flaps-rear-82169408656#fitment. if you look up 2005 E46 sedan mud flaps it says the stock part doesn't fit cars with option 716A

2005 BMW 330i Mud Flap Kit
Position: Rear, w/o M Sports package II (S338A) and Aerodynamics package (S716A)

Of course I'm thinking that mud flaps might defeat the purpose of the Aerodynamics package?

So all they have now are the Rears @ $36 each? But you are right. Defeats the purpose of aerodynamics. So it's mostly aesthetics.
