Have you considered wheel repair? I've had a few shops in the Seattle area fix curb rash - you'd be surprised how well a good shop can make a damaged wheel look like new again. Both shops are close in price, or at least they used to be - about $180-$200 per wheel.

I'm in Seattle and I've used Complete Wheel Repair (located near Seattle Center) & Sound Wheel Works (Bellevue) - both do awesome work.

I can vouch for Sound Wheel Works - they're outstanding. I have not had them refinish my wheels, but they straightened and balanced all four of my Style 135s for a fraction of what a new set would have cost. Great service and folks over there.
