I'm not the best shifter but I know if I lift the clutch at about 2500 or 4800 my shift is smoother than anywhere else but I feel like that shift point is tiny, so little margin for error... If not perfect, it shudders. In the past when my clutch was blown on my E36 I even was able to shift without the clutch, which was very cool BTW.

Then
I read this were I saw a video:

BMW*have used clutch delay valves on the*E39*and*E46*models, and others, from 1997. These valves have been unpopular with some drivers and they are sometimes removed to leave a conventional clutch action.*The BMW valve is a separate pipe fitting and easily removed.

So bottom line, will removing this slow down the RPM decrease after letting of the gas and give me more margin or....

CDV delete is a very common mod and should only improving your shifting. an alternative is to install a "unlock" valve which keeps the part, but opens up the fluid flow: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-uuc-parts/unlock-valve-clutch-delay-valve-delete/unlock2~uuc/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwudb3BRC9ARIsAEa-vUvAERbEunUvRzV0EJ5SC3lSoDItA7X8IJ8m72gJBaf5OxMPkg WLLcQaAk4TEALw_wcB

here's a good DIY:

Yep and the replacement part that ECS and the like sell is 100% unnecessaryLol I find it pretty funny that the bored-out CDV is still being sold. Who would buy them, I guess some schmuck who has not done their research? They were only made so that when the cars were still in the warranty period, it wouldn't be voided

To actually answer your question, no it won't affect the rate the RPMs drop at. But it'll let you engage the clutch a bit faster. You just get slightly more control of the clutch.

+1, when I had my ZHP I had mine removed.

I removed mine on my ZHP and my 330xi DD, and my clutch action in both cases was significantly better.
