So to start this off, I have a low budget but wanted to have a similar sound to a catback for a fraction of the price.

To do this I purchased a vibrant performance muffler (#1148), and deleted the secondary resonator.

I know some of you may be a bit thrown off by using a y pipe into a single 3" muffler input, but the car feels a hair quicker and the car responds

better to this than the stock exhaust I have found in the last hour of driving it. At first I was worried about possible droning, but at highway

cruising the car feels and sounds stock.

My setup was a "replicated" version of this thread.

Overall the cost was $214 CAD (150 USD) Shipped for the muffler.

and $200 CAD (140 USD) for the exhaust shop labour & materials.

Overall, I am extremely happy. At a total of $290 USD It is great, definetely pull the trigger if you have been debating it.

HOWEVER, If I was to do this again, I would spend maybe a little bit more (110 usd more) on a magnaflow #14816 possibly, or a similar style.

When comparing the sound to stock, deeper tone, cabin is only marginally louder, more than fine for a daily driver. Outside is a different story,

has nice low rumble in the rpms and brings and when it hits 4k it sounds great. Sounds great in flybuys, not tinny or raspy, I think many of you

would really like this setup. Videos coming soon! Cheers

Very nice! I'm thinking about doing something similar. This helps me get started in the right direction!
