This steering wheel is in need of some TLC.
The Alcantara needs to be replaced/refurbished.

Wheel came with the car at 80,000 kilometers when I bought it.
i replaced it at the time of purchase. I decided not to refurbish it for myself so it can go to a new loving home.

By the 'trim' do you mean the plastic 'T' that houses all the control switches ?
