The Story
Its time for me to sell the Mini. I haven’t had the car for very long (purchased 10/20/18, 121,6xx miles), but I bought it with a very specific goal in mind, and the car has served me well. Initially purchased with intentions of making it a “work car” that I could load my tools into (general handyman work when I'm home from my real job), and then use the roof rack to haul a ladder, some wood, etc. Not the normal use for the Mini, I know, however it has served me VERY well and always impresses others! I had intentions of keeping it as a run around car (so my M3 can stay garage queen status), however, the reality is that its just a little too small for my wife to feel comfortable with putting our kids in it. That being said, I’m on the hunt for a wagon to replace the Mini.

-New serpentine belt

-New belt tensioner/dampener strut

-New water pump/thermostat

-Coolant flush

-oil/filter change (Mobil 1 0W-40)

-New axles

-New front wheel bearing assemblies

-New front lower control arm bushings (Powerflex)

-New front inner/outer ball joints (Lemforder)

-New oil pressure switch

-New brakes

-Brembo rotors

-Posi Quiet Semi Metallic pads

-New sensors/clips/etc.

**Upgrades**

-OEM Roof Rack (installed by me, tested MANY times, works perfectly)

-Recovered headliner with matching green alcantara like material (see pic)

-FULLY tinted- Llumar FormulaOne Pinnacle 15% windows, Llumar AirBlue 80 on windshield

-Cravenspeed dipstick

-OEM outdoor car cover (included with sale)

The BAD

-The body is not perfect. The lower front lip is creased from parking curbs (previous owner), and there are a few ripples in the roof.

-The paint is failing as well. Overall the car looks good and has a nice shine, but it must’ve been a cheap/poorly applied respray because in the year I’ve had the car, it has started peeling. A few areas on the hood, one spot on the passenger quarter panel, and a few small spots on the rear bumper.

-The front strut mounts need replacing (they squeak/creak when you turn the steering wheel)

-The low speed fan resistor has failed. Fan works fine for normal use, but when AC is on, fan is on high all the time

-The AC compressor makes some noise when running at higher revs, like a dull humming noise. Still works just fine.

I understand the car is not perfect, however, given the list of maintenance, I can promise the car runs well and is plenty fun to drive! I have put just about 4K miles on it since I bought it, so all of the maintenance items are VERY recent. The car needs to be cleaned up and a few small things sorted, but even still, I promise it to be a very reliable and fairly well sorted car. It is ready for someone that wants to put the finishing touches on it!

I’m asking $4700 for the car considering the work that’s been done. I am a completely open book and will provide any more info/pics/videos as requested for out of town buyers. I have bought and sold many vehicles either sight unseen or from a distance and can work with you on that if needed.

Looking forward to passing this one on to the next owner!

This could work for the Wagon but, there may be some added change![emoji848]

Hah, I've seen that car, definitely not interested. Way too old and way too expensive! I'm hunting for an E91 wagon, 2011 preferred, but open to anything 09+...

Thanks buddy!! I'm at work right now, but if I get off the ship in LB, we have to make plans to all get together again!

Congrats on the new ride. Any details to share ? BTW, I owned a similar Mini Cooper some time ago. It was a fun car.

Oh, I didn't purchase yet. I want to, but still sorting details... The car is a 2011 E91 328i though. Titanium Silver with Dove Grey... Not an ideal color combo by ANY means, but whatever, its just a runaround car. Has all the options I want except xenon, but I can retrofit those without too much trouble I'd imagine.
