Help needed!

Hey guys,

I was doing the swap of zkw lenses into my Al headlights . Everything went fine, lights were installed and driving around at night was revolutionary! I could finally see and all was right again.

I drove around and smelled something burning. Was trying to level my headlights against a brick wall. Took it back apart and saw smoke coming from the rear of the headlight. It seems the plastic melted where it meets the bulb. The metal contacts inside are all black now.

Does anyone know why this happened? Is it internal wiring which is a problem? Can I order a new orange connector piece? Your expert help is needed. Pictures below for reference

Well I ordered a new ignitor for the AL headlights. I guess it was bad incase anyone ever runs into this issue in the future.

what kind of bulbs are in there?

OEM 35w Phillips

You should also get new D2S bulbs as well.
