I swapped my autodim mirror from my 325i to my 330ci ZHP. The ZHP did not have autodim mirror so the harness is wrong.

Mine didn't have autodim from the factory either, but the M3 oval autodim mirror retrofit did not require a harness for me. I think there's just a wiring modification you have to do and you're done...
I didn't do the retrofit though so I don't have the info. If your ZHP is a Ci, then it's a 2004-2006 and has rain sensor, so our cars are identical in that regard. You shouldn't need a harness; I think that only applies to those who do not have rain/light sensor.

you dont need that unless you are saying your current interior mirror plug is completely different and does not even plug into the the new auto dim mirror.
if your current mirror plug is physically the same and does plug in but the only thing wrong is the mirror doesnt auto dim then you need to repin/rewire that plug. very simple with this DIY

and when you are done to quickly test it.. cover the ambient light sensor on the back of the mirror with your finger and shine a bright light into the other sensor in the front glass and it should dim.

Also make sure the mirror isn't an SOS mirror, because if it is, you could fry something if you don't make the proper modifications first.
