I'd snake it if I wanted to keep the 3.07 diff

What is the "r=2.47-3.07"? Does that mean it's a 3.07 ratio?

edit; Nevermind... Checked the Wavetrac site; Part #30.309.176WK (https://autotech.com/wavetracr-differential-bmw-e46-e87-e90-188k-r-3-07.html) is a 3.07 ratio for our cars.

BTW; What is a 188k axle?

You can ask? I imagine the price would be getting up there with shipping, but it's a helical and the warranty is transferable so...?

FYI I'm planning to wait until I get through a few more projects and then do a small group buy for an MFactory helical. It's only $800 if you get 5 people on board, so maybe we can get a steeper discount with a larger group say around tax return time?

That means it'll work with diff ratios 2.47-3.07. The gears inside your diff determines the ratio, this piece just handles the power distribution.

If the timing is right I might be in for that group buy.

I see - so that diff bolts up to your existing ring gear. Now I get it... Thanks.

I may go in on the group buy. I do hear it's easier just to get the whole thing re installation vs just the pumpkin.

He probably had a ton of interested people. Considering retail on it is anywhere from $1k to $1,200, it’s a pretty good deal at $850 for a new, never installed unit.
